An Eden business has launched its own online store in response to the economic impact of the global Coronavirus pandemic on its business.

Penrith-based Kreative Living Limited is offering a range of modern and unique, homeware and home accessories, as well as a lifestyle offering with a range of environmentally friendly products.

Having set-up an Interior Design service business in January 2020, offering design services to developer and residential sectors, the new business was hit with a big blow when the Covid-19 pandemic brought its long-term plans to a halt.

Eden entrepreneur, Katie Gordon, has responded by adding to the service business with an online retail offering having recognised the rise in consumer demand for online shopping and the appeal to focus on home environments.

The online store will run in tandem with the company’s on-site location based at Unit 26 Bowerbank Way of Penrith’s Gilwilly Industrial Estate, providing interior design services to residential and developer sectors, as well as selling home décor items.

Katie Gordon, Kreative Living Limited’s founder and owner, said: “When Covid-19 hit it came as a bit of a shock having just set-up business, however, it was all about watching, adapting and responding.

“I recognised the service sector may be affected but it quickly became apparent how people were reacting to spending so much more time in their own home and online shopping was rocketing.

“In response to this change in consumer habits I decided to launch an online store offering lot’s of unique pieces that allow you to affordably change the look of your home space and make it somewhere you are happy to spend time in.”

The business is now making plans for demands of Christmas, planning to offer gift purchases, wrapping and gift cards, sent direct to recipients, for those unable to meet with friends and family in the event of ongoing restrictions.
