AVANTI West Coast has become the first UK train operator to offer an extra travel class.
It has introduced Standard Premium on its West Coast Main Line Pendolino services.
It is billed as “sitting between standard and first with customers enjoying roomier seats, greater space and a guaranteed table” – they can also order refreshments from their seat.
A Standard Premium upgrade is initially available to buy as an upgrade on the day of travel, with advance purchase tickets on sale from July for travel from September.
