Our guide to all the soap action, week beginning Saturday.

Coronation Street (ITV)

Last week’s accident at the garage and losing contact with the twins have created a perfect storm in Abi’s troubled mind, and she turns to drugs again as a way to ease her mental and physical pain.

But Peter – an addict himself, albeit of a different kind – is on hand to offer support. He visits her as she recuperates at home and immediately suspects she’s taken morphine from the hospital. She denies it, but goes berserk when she realises a dose of it is missing.

Kevin’s sister Debbie, meanwhile, arrives for an extended stay and although she claims she wants to get to know Abi better, it’s clear she isn’t convinced the mechanic is good enough for her darling brother.

Elsewhere, Gemma’s surprise party for Paul’s 30th goes down a treat, and Johnny receives a cool welcome home from Jenny and Scott. Alya breaks the news to Yasmeen that Elaine has vanished, while Sean and Billy grow increasingly concerned about Todd.

Emmerdale (ITV)

The Dingles are surprised this week when Belle reveals her relationship with Jamie, but how much more shocked would they be if they knew he’d run over Moira?

Jamie hopes they will never have to find out as he tries to reassure his girlfriend that they can convince Nate to keep quiet. However, when Nate later reveals that the vet has tried to buy his silence, Belle is furious. And to make matters worse, Jamie insists that as bribery hasn’t worked, now she must be the one to talk Nate around.

Vinny admits he has a crush on Liv, so Paul decides to do a little matchmaking and arranges a dinner date for them. However, when Liv cancels, it’s Paul and Mandy who end up eating together – but any romantic vibes may be ruined when Mandy later confronts Liv about her last-minute change of heart and gets a very surprising response.

Tracy prepares for her 12-week scan, and Victoria receives devastating news about Annie, which rather puts a dampener on Bob and Marlon’s plans to push her and Luke together.

Home and Away (Channel 5)

All eyes are on Jasmine again, and given the fact she has more ups and downs than a Summer Bay rollercoaster, there’s little wonder. After Willow is on the receiving end of Amber’s wrath, worries about Jasmine resurface.

At Salt, you could cut the tension with a knife as Tane finds it hard to control himself around Amber, which makes for an interesting shift.

Later, Tane’s hot date gets in the way of Nikau and Bella’s more staid night of romance. Nikau feels he has some making up to do, but that only creates more problems. And Jasmine blows her top when Irene and Colby turn up; the visitors are forced to tell the Shaws everything.

Eventually, Jasmine is brought back to the Bay, where Tori tries to build bridges. Elsewhere, Roo does what she can to help Ryder process recent events, and Marilyn and John must confront their new relationship status.

Neighbours (Channel 5)

Aaron and David are concerned that what is good for Jenna may end badly for Emmett.

Meanwhile, Pierce’s eagerness to get a carer for Fay puts pressure on Nicolette to stay professional. When Nicolette finds out about Chloe’s pregnancy, she puts her feelings on hold.

Shane asks Roxy to help him through his tricky recovery, but it remains to be seen whether they can keep Dipi out of the loop. Later, when Shane starts avoiding Roxy, a little detective work reveals he is back on the pills. Having burnt a bridge with Roxy, Shane is soon keen to make amends, but it may be too little, too late.

When Jenna returns to her old ways, Emma is disappointed; Fay turns up from Adelaide, but what will Chloe make of her deterioration?

And the good news is Toadie is also back. Alas, he has a painful secret.
