A man from Bolton has been banned from driving and hit with a fine for drink driving while in the Lake District.
Luke Thomas Hibbert, 32, of Lostock, Bolton, appeared before South Cumbria Magistrates Court on Thursday, where he pleaded guilty to the offence.
Hibbert had previous denied the charge but changed his plea to guilty.
The court heard that on July 26, Hibbert was in Bowness on Windermere driving an Audi S3 on St Martin's Place.
He was stopped by police and when he gave a road side breath test, he gave a reading of over double the limit.
The reading was 84 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
He was banned from driving by magistrates for a total of 40 months.
Alongside that he was fined £500 and ordered to pay a £50 victim surcharge.
