The first competition of the season will be held by Workington and District Camera Club next week as part of its new online diary of activities.

Following a well-supported talk from Sue O'Connell and Peter Brisley, who describe themselves as photographers who like to travel rather than travel photographers, this week's Zoom meeting will hear from Dave and Angie Tucker, showing Pics Wot I Like.

October 9 will be the first competition of the season, followed on October 16 by a talk entitled Close Up and Macro Photography, by Ken Payne.

On October 23, Sharon and Robert Prenton Jones will talk about The Art of Composite Photography, followed on October 30 by Phil Cooling talking on Weird and Wonderful-ish.

New members are welcome. For more details about speakers or the club in general can be found by visiting its website at www.workingtonanddistrictcam eraclub.co.uk
