US president Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump have tested positive for Covid-19.
Both are currently in quarantine.
The President made the announcement on Twitter in the early hours of this morning.
He said: "We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this together."
UK Government housing secretary Robert Jenrick said this morning that Donald and Melania Trump's Covid-19 diagnosis is a reminder that everyone is susceptible to the disease, and urged the public to follow the rules.
Donald Trump is currently fighting a campaign to be reelected as President of the United States, opposite his Democratic Party rival, former Vice President Joe Biden.
The election will take place in November.
