CUMBRIA'S library service has introduced a new management system for issuing and returning books.
The system also provides a catalogue of all resources.
A spokeswoman for the service said: "As well as enabling us to further enhance the way we deal with your information securely and efficiently, the new system will help us introduce some new and improved functionality for our customers.
"To help us ensure that the system works as efficiently as possible it is important that all of your details are up to date, including your date of birth, email address and current address.
"Please check your details are accurate via your online account and if anything needs to be updated please contact us at libraries@cumbria.gov.uk.
"To help us comply with data protection regulations, we will need to confirm your contact details with you every 12 months."
