An Egremont fundraiser could be biting off more than he can chew in an eating challenge for charity.
Mark Andrews will attempt to raise funds for the Charlie and Kathleen Dunnery Children's Fund by trying to eat the 'hottest pizza in the world'.
He will take on the daunting challenge with Madihah's takeaway owner, Kyle Barlow, from Workington.
Mark said: "To coincide with our charity weekend I am taking on the Madihah's Workington 'Hottest Pizza in the World', I've been in touch with them and myself and the owner will be trying to eat the pizza, one each, at 6.30pm on Thursday."
Mark added he has no idea how far through he will manage to get, so will be getting sponsored for just attempting it.
The CKDCF, which raises funds for children's health, wellness and educational needs, is also holding an online concert and auction to raise money on October 24. This is instead of their usual fundraising weekend, which generates the majority of the charities annual income.
The online music event can be streamed via crowdcast and will feature an impressive line-up.
There is Steve Hackett, Roger King, Chris Difford, Steve Hogarth, The Dame, Nick D’Virgilio, Quint Starkie, Big Big Train, Peter Jones, Eric Miranda, Dean Newton, Materya, Dave Kerzner, John Mitchell, Soul Trader, Luke Machin, the lads from Hootie, John and Wayne, Danny Dunnery and Stephen Harris and founder of the charity, Francis Dunnery. Tickets for the event cost £25 and are available at the CKDCF website.
An online auction, also available at the charities website, is running now until 5pm on October 24. Items to bid for include Ronnie James Dio merchandise, handwritten Francis Dunnery lyrics, a Kieran Tierney signed Celtic shirt and signed photographs from Finn Bálor and Cristiano Ronaldo. People will receive an email when they have been out-bid.
