Emergency services collaborated on Wednesday when they rescued a casualty from Helm Crag near Grasmere.
The Great North Air Ambulance and a coastguard team landed near Grasmere to assist Langdale Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team in the rescue of a casualty.
Teams battled inclement weather on the afternoon of October 28 to make the rescue.
A spokesperson for The Great North Air Ambulance said: "The weather conditions were really challenging, it was very windy and there were frequent hailstorms.
"Suitable landing sites near to the patient were limited so we had to try a few landing attempts before we found a suitable area.
"It was a good collaborative effort involving ourselves, Langdale Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team (LAMRT) and SAR."
It was callout 67 for Langdale who said: "Remember to #BeAdventureSmart by checking the weather forecast, packing the appropriate gear and having a plan suitable for the conditions and abilities of those in the group."
