Following family tributes to the popular and well-loved Anna Tubman, people from across West Cumbria have shared their deepest condolences and sadness for her passing.

Dearham woman Anna sadly died on November 5, aged just 42 years old, at Cumberland Infirmary.

Although she had many underlying health conditions, her death was unexpected, and left the family heartbroken and devastated by the loss.

Her husband Mark said she was, "the best mother you could ask for, the best wife – just the best in every way”, and that she "lit everybody’s life up."

Anna's sister, Sarah, added that, "she’s left a massive hole in so many people’s lives", and added: "A light has definitely gone out now that she’s gone.”

A representative from North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Trust, which runs West Cumberland Hospital where Anna worked, said she was "always patient-centred and compassionate", and often went the extra mile to make sure each patient got what they needed.

They added that she was well-known, liked and respected across the trust, and "she will be hugely missed by all her colleagues”.

Since Anna's death, tributes have poured in from across the county to honour the cardiac physiologist, and offer support to her husband Mark, children Chloe and Elliot, stepson Joshua, sister Sarah, mum Pam, stepdad Steve, and his partner Cathy.

And after the family's tributes were shared in the Times & Star, countless others have shared their love for Anna.

Joanne Hudson said: "Sleep tight my lovely friend, going to miss you.

"Thinking of Mark, kids and the family."

Dave McDonald said Anna's death is "absolutely heartbreaking", and added that was a "lovely person, inside and out."

"RIP Anna," Lucy Nicholson said.

"I feel so privileged to have known you.

"My thoughts are with your lovely family."

Sophie Amanda Innes added: "RIP Anna, it was a pleasure to have known you.

"My love and thoughts are with Mark and your gorgeous babies."
