AN APPLICATION to change an agricultural building into a home has been lodged.
Eden District Council has received plans to change the property on land west of the Old Post Office, Newbiggin.

According to the supporting statement: "The building is currently in agricultural use, being generally used for storage.
"This primarily storage use does not generate any significant noise and/or disturbance in the area.
"The area is predominately residential in nature with no
land uses near to the site that would impact on the use and enjoyment of the building as a dwelling.
"The Building benefits from a safe and well-used access onto the nearest public highway to the east of the Site."
