Almost 60 cases of coronavirus were recorded in Cumbria on Sunday.

The latest figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) showed that across the county 59 more people have received a positive test result.

Here's what you had to say on the cases in the county.

Jennifer Fawcett said: "I would rather sacrifice Christmas for this year than see more people losing their lives. I don't agree that we should relax things because it proved last time, that as soon as the lockdown stopped, and everything was opened up again, the death rate soared again. They have said there will more than likely be a 25 day lockdown again in January because of "saving Christmas," is it really worth it?"

Gillian Baker said: "Flu is less contagious than Covid so with lockdown perhaps it won’t spread as much as it usually does. Also many people who would have died from flu have already died from Covid."

Debbie Welsby Kelton said: "It's really nothing to laugh at to be honest and all these people who don't believe its out there should try looking after someone who has it its cruel, rapid and definitely does kill so instead of coming up with all these wild ridiculous stories."
