PROPOSALS to turn a former Cumbrian courthouse into a home have been withdrawn.
Eden District Council had received plans for the Lower Castle Inn, Hackthorpe, Penrith, in August, by the applicant, listed as D Brennand.
According to the design and access statement: "The former courthouse is attached to the Lowther Castle Inn Public House.
"The former courthouse currently serves as the dining room for the Lowther Castle Inn.
"The proposal seek to downscale the size of the business by reducing the amount of covers.
"The separation of the former courthouse can be easily achieved as it was a separate building."
