Four-legged fundraisers and volunteers from more than 400 groups are coming together to raise vital funds for charity.
Between December 1 and December 12 fundraising dogs from the charity Guide Dogs for the Blind will be featured on the 12 Guide Dogs of Christmas virtual advent calendar.
They are aiming big this Christmas with the hope they can raise enough to fund 12 new dogs.
Anyone interested in supporting the Christmas collection should go to the website www.justgiving.com/fundraising/penrithguidedogs where they can click to make a donation, get involved by organising a festive fundraiser and see the 12 Guide Dogs of Christmas Advent Calendar.
There are plenty of ideas on how to organise a festive fundraiser of your own to help, including Christmas e-cards, virtual quiz packs with a Celebrity Sound Round and children’s ‘Doggy in the Window’ colouring sheets.
