THE TEAROOMS at an historic Cumbrian mansion are offering takeaway afternoon teas because of the coronavirus lockdown.

The staff at Dalemain Mediaeval Hall tearooms, near Penrith, have created a selection of homemade festive treats to collect.

Owner Jane Hasell McCosh said; "Our wonderful tearoom staff have been working hard to bring Christmas to you following a very strange year.

"We hope people will delight in our beautifully presented festive afternoon teas, made fresh in the Dalemain Tearooms.

"They are baked with love, and we hope that they will bring festive cheer. Enjoy them as a family or give them as a perfect gift to a loved one."

The treats are used from locally sourced ingredient and served in a gift box.

The package includes open sandwiches, prawn cocktail vol-au-vents and the famous Dalemain fruit scone. Also included are meringues, mince pies and Christmas tree spicy shortbread.

Tea for two is £36, for four it's £65.
