Copeland Age an Advice Service, based at Cleator Moor, still have their services fully operational, though the CAAS team are all working remotely from home.
This includes: support with completing Blue Badge applications; completion of Power of Attorney forms for just £50, - a 90 per cent saving on standard costs through a solicitor; support to access housing options including completion of CBL forms and assistance with banding and bidding; benefit checks and support with benefit claims including PIP, Attendance Allowance, Pension Credit, Housing Benefit and Council tax Reduction; advice and the provision of low level disability aids and adaptions as qualified Trusted Assessors; help to access support during lockdown including accessing food parcels and linking with befrienders.
Their free telephone befriending service is available to anyone aged 55 and older that would benefit from talking to someone.
