Police are appealing for witnesses following two incidents that occurred at an address in Carlisle.
The first is an incident of burglary that occurred at the address on Botcherby Avenue around 5:30pm on January 5.
Entry was gained to the property through an unsecure door. It was reported that nothing was taken.
A 22-year-old man from Carlisle was arrested for the offence on suspicion of burglary. He has since been released on police bail.
The second incident at the Botcherby Avenue property was a serious assault at around 5pm on January 12.
It is reported a man in his twenties was assaulted by three other men, who were described as wearing dark clothing with their faces concealed. The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
