The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for Cumbria and that we might experience some flooding.

They say heavy rainfall, combined with some snowmelt across the hills, may lead to some flooding of roads and properties.

The warning comes in on Monday January 18 at 6pm and is expected to last until Wednesday January 20 at 6pm.

They said that this could affect homes and businesses with flooding, delay travel, make driving conditions difficult, could see some road closures come into effect.

They also warned against some communities being cut off by flooded roads and possible loss of power and other services.

They said: "Homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings. Fast flowing or deep floodwater is possible, causing a danger to life. Delays or cancellations to train and bus services are possible. Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures. Some communities may be cut off by flooded roads. Possible power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses."
