A Cumbrian teenager has been shortlisted in an animal charity’s photography competition and the public can now decide who is their winner.
Sarah Richardson from Penrith is among fourteen youngsters aged from 10 to 18 to have their animal snaps shortlisted in the RSPCA’s ‘People’s Choice’ photography competition.
The 17-year-old made the shortlist with her atmospheric photograph ‘Standing their Ground.’
Other images from entrants living right across the country include a cat asking for a hug, a collie at sunset and a gaggle of geese walking along a road.
In December, the overall winners of the RSPCA Young Photographer Awards 2020 were announced following the official judging by a panel of photographic experts including RSPCA Vice President Chris Packham and industry professionals.
March marks part two of the competition, with an online poll, named ‘People’s Choice’, now open for the public to pick their winning photo from the Mobile Phone and Devices category featuring three age groups of Under 12s, 12-15s and 16-18 year olds plus the Picture Perfect Pets category.
