A THIRTY-eight-year-old Eden Valley man has admitted drug driving on the A66 near Penrith.
At Carlisle's Rickergate court, Christopher David Robinson, of Castle Park View, Applebly, admitted driving a Subaru Forester at Kemplay Bank Roundabout on September 14 while over the limit for a cannabis breakdown product. He was fined £120 and given a 15 month ban.
The defendant also admitted breaching a restraining order between Monday, January 25, and Tuesday, February 2, by contacting a woman he was banned from contacting.
The contact consisted of phone calls and text messages.
For this offence, magistrates imposed a community order with a requirement to complete 140 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months.
He must also pay prosecution costs of £86 and a £95 victim surcharge. A new restraining order bans the defendant from Chapel Street, Appleby, until July 26.
