Amazing images of wildlife will be on show from next week with a national exhibition arriving in Cumbria.
Whitehaven's Beacon Museum is reopening its doors after lockdown with one of the most prestigious photography events in the world – the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition.
The museum doors are set to reopen on Tuesday when visitors will able to view the world-renowned competition which captures the breathtaking diversity of the natural world.
Alan Gillon, the museum’s learning officer, said: “We are very excited to be reopening our doors once again with the world-famous Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition.
“It is one of the most popular photography shows in the world and visitors are sure to find the exhibition fascinating, inspiring and provocative. It’s suitable for all ages and celebrates the drama and splendour of the natural world.”
The exhibition is on loan from the Natural History Museum in London and will close on July 4.
