Concerned residents have been left worried that a huge sex festival is planned close to their homes.

The event is believed to be happening close to Eaglesfield and the event in the past has hosted entertainment such as 'Fungeons' and 'Bondage 101'.

Worried that the people who pay to visits this kind of event will be close by during the school holidays has left a sour taste in their mouths.

The Summer House Weekend is believed to be taking place in August and on a news letter it states it will be taking place in Carlisle however, the website for the event has since been removed.

The details on the website before its removal explained how guests must take part in the PAL system where one person vouches for another.

"The person can be a friend, a relative or a partner. They do not have to be your lover, but they can be.

"It can also be more than one person, though ideally no more than three people are in one PAL grouping." It said on the now defunct website.

The organisers have strict rule which include; No lurking or space-invading, Play it safe, Get and give consent and Participate and dress up.

It is believed that the event started as a birthday party almost 10 years ago and has grown in to a popular weekend with a Summer and Winter event there is even one held in Spain.

One resident who is shocked by the whole idea of this being close to his home said: "While it appears to be behind closed doors I'm still not happy that the area will be flooded with swingers and fetishists dressing up and potentially coming into the village of Eaglesfield during their stay, especially as it's during the school holidays.

"As a local resident I'm offended by this, why can't they all just stay at home in their bedroom like the rest of us?"

It also stated that the location changes, and is kept secret until two weeks before the party. Even then it is only announced to ticket-holders.

The Summer House Weekend luxury camping involves the best of both worlds; being surrounded by nature and enjoying all the mod cons – hot showers, delightfully soft bedding, plenty of space and privacy.

Both the organiser of the Summerhouse Weekend and the location of where it is believed to be taking place were contacted and have not responded.
