A new challenge has been announced by Penrith Guide Dogs to try and raise money for the charity.

Grow it for Guide Dogs has been set up to raise funds for the charity by taking on a sun flower growing challenge.

The charity had the idea after noticing how much people have fell in love with gardening over lockdown and the restriction periods.

Anyone is encouraged to get involved in the project- from green fingered gardeners to lockdown newbies.

The charity are encouraging all age groups to get involved and grow a sunflower for the challenge, young and old can come together to raise vital fund for guide dogs in the local area.

Any individual, or group of people are encouraged to take part in the challenge through registering via. the website at: guidedogs.org.uk/how-you-can-help/fundraise/fundraising-pack-registration/.

The person or group who sets up the challenge will manage each individual event- from sending invitations, delivering the seed packs and asking people to make a donations either through using JustGiving or via cash.

Once registered, supporters will have access to the free downloads to set up their own sunflower growing challenge.
