A TEENAGE driver has been banned from the roads after her careless driving caused a crash.

Isabella Jackson, 18, of Thorpefield, Sockbridge, appeared at Workington Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

She admitted one charge of faling to stop after an accident that caused damage to another vehicle and one charge of driving without due care and attention.

Both charges related to an incident on October 27 last year on Southey Street in Keswick. The court heard Jackson drove her blue Mini Countryman Cooper on the road and an accident occurred owing to her presence, causing damage to another vehicle.

Jackson was fined £120, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and costs of £85. She was also banned from driving for four months.
