Cumbria County Council has reminded parents that free swimming sessions and a meal are available at the county's swimming pools to children and young people who receive free school meals.
The reminder came after Cumbrian swimmer Luke Greenbank won a bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics.
A council spokesman said: “Inspired by Cockermouth's Olympic swimming hero Luke Greenbank? “Free swims and a meal are at the following pools this summer; Dalton Leisure Centre, Kendal Leisure Centre, Ulverston Leisure Centre, Workington Leisure Centre, Penrith Leisure Centre , Appleby Leisure Centre, Carlisle Swimming Baths, Wigton Baths, Whitehaven Swimming Pool.”
