Cumbria's only branch of Nando's is temporarily closed for dining in, amid countrywide supply chain issues.

A sign on the door says the store is only available for delivery or 'click and collect'.

Nando’s has shut 45 restaurants after suffering a shortage of chicken as industry suppliers warned supply chain disruption is “not going away”.

Customers are also being told that the company is being impacted by “isolation periods” among staff.

A spokesperson said yesterday: "We expect to see this having a positive impact on the affected restaurants very soon.

"Please bear with us whilst we do everything we can to get our famous PERi-PERi chicken back where it belongs – on your plates."
