FILM star Daniel Craig has donated £10,000 to three fathers taking on a mammoth walk for a suicide prevention charity after their daughters took their own lives.

Andy Airey, Mike Palmer and Tim Owen's 'Three Dads Walking' trek will see them walk between their homes in Cumbria, Greater Manchester and Norfolk for the Papyrus charity.

Andy Airey lost his 29-year-old daughter Sophie to suicide in December 2018.

Sophie, a former pupil at Kirkbie Kendal School, was due to run the Northumberland Half Marathon in 2019 but her father, Andy Airey, took her place and raised funds for the Papyrus suicide prevention charity.

The three dads began a mammoth walking challenge today, walking on average 20 miles a day to complete a 300-mile cross-country trek on October 23.

The trio set up a fundraising page, which has currently raised more than £56k after James Bond actor Daniel Craig contributed £10k to the fund. The team had no idea the large donation was from Craig initially, but charity teams traced it and were told by Daniel Craig's management that it was from him.
