A POPULAR festival is returning in Carlisle, but will be adapted.
Carlisle Beer Festival will go ahead this year, but will be taking place in pubs.
The event takes place between October 29 and November 7.
The Boardroom, 301 Miles from London, The Fat Gadgie and The Griffin are all involved.
The Howard Arms, The Kings Head, Milbourne Arms, The Sportsman and The Joiners Arms will also be taking part.
Sandy Williamson is one of the Solway Campaign for Real Ale members helping to organise it.
He said: "Normally the beer festival organiser when we do the big beer festival in the town.
"This year we’re not doing that, so we tried to organise a more informal one around the pubs.
"We get a lot of people who come to the beer festival every year.
"We hope that those people, they’ll miss it this year, but maybe they can try some of the pubs in town instead."
While most of the pubs already offer real ales, they intend to sell some slightly different ones for the festival.
Mr Williamson said: "A lot of people will have a local pub that they go to but with this thing on they’ll try some other pubs."
