It was yet another afternoon of frustration for Carlisle United as they were held 0-0 at home by fellow strugglers Oldham.

Here's what the Blue Army made of things as they gave us their views on Twitter.

Hopeless. Absolutely toothless. Ambition, desire all required. Get that manager in ASAP + someone who knows where the goal is. Relegation beckons if Holdsworth and co don't do something NOW. (@BruceVander)

Same as every other week. I seriously don’t think there’s ever been a more toothless, unthreatening collection of 'attacking players' in the history of the club. Whoever sanctioned starting the season with these attacking options needs sectioned. (@RyanWood85)

Same old same old. How many times do I need to say it? We need a big, physical centre forward. Every time that Piergianni comes up here we may him look world class! We are going down unless we get someone to score goals. (@MartinScarboro4)

First half decent, second horrific, we are crying out for a CF. Only positive today was Howard. (@rhyswjenkins1)

Crying out for a target man to occupy defenders, can we not get a look at Fishburn because sticking Dickenson up there is not the answer. (@leecrowe007)

We basically have no strikers and haven’t had all season, with predictable results. We’d be better off with the three Dicks of Offiong, Sendall and Tracey up front. (@mlgraham73)

I’ve never hated going to BP so much than I have this season. The team is shocking. They’ve got no ideas whatsoever ever. Constant long balls to nobody. We never seem to want to play football. No energy to get in the box. No urgency to get things going. (@cufcdanny)

Lacking any real creativity or threat. Too many players struggling for form and not enough from our leaders to pick the rest of the team up. Very disappointing. (@ticketaddict)

The fact we haven’t scored at home in October speaks volumes, we could play for six weeks straight and not score. (@Matthewgaskell9)

As much sign of direction on the pitch as there is off it. No leaders visible and the lack of a recognised striker is a major concern. The good thing for whoever takes up the managerial post is that it can’t get much worse. (@nathan_ridley_)

Bored to tears, players looked scared to kick the ball in case it burst, could play for a week and not score, good luck to whoever gets the job hopefully they know a forward who might find the net. (@NavyDave94)

Can’t sniff at a clean sheet. Something to build on. (@AndrewMcEwan07)

Again another poor performance...Nothing going forward.. for me we have to play Riley as CM, he is the only one who push the team in a forward direction and can't do that from RB. (@james10hodgson)

Between them and Scunthorpe we won't play easier opposition in the league this season. If we can't beat them then I'm really really concerned. (@cufcmike)

Two poor teams. Huffed and puffed. Skelton isn’t the man for the job as the spark is still missing. Better football though, I will give them that. (@CarlislesDamage)

I luckily only watched the last 30 mins. Really poor body language from all was horrendous. We are in trouble. (@spendercufc)

Decent first half. V poor second. Subs actually made things worse. (@RMCAdelBlue)

Played better and we're now out of the relegation zone. Still, should have won that easily and it's three points dropped. (@LiamDenwood)

We need a manager (@RobbieFaulder)

We look tentative, lacking confidence and direction when going forward. Often wasting opportunities. Desperately need a focal point in attack and more pace going forward. Need to be beating teams like Oldham. A point is not awful but must start winning soon. (@fish_blues)

We are the worst team in the Football League. (@2705TF)

Nothing in the tank from the team overall. Clean sweep needed in coaching staff. Need a manager ASAP. The board have destroyed hope within the club too. (@LEEROTHERHAM)

Another poor display. Trying to walk it, the team look poor, no movement, no enthusiasm, no pride in playing for the club, poor substitutions by a manager who is lost. Where is the director of football in all this? Only director of football not to be involved in the football side? (@Mick94366127)

Two terrible teams played a terrible game of football. (@parkinsonross)

Painful second half to watch. Nobody really wanted the ball. Need a centre-forward ASAP or give Fishburn a start! Howard looks solid and leads well. Performances have improved this week but we need to get more points on the board or could get cut adrift quickly. (@stuferg1990)
