A LAKE District hostel has received an award.
Elterwater Hostel in Ambleside has been awarded bronze in The Great Outdoors magazine's Outdoor Awards 2021.
A spokesman for the hostel said: "We're feeling rather pleased with ourselves having been awarded bronze in The Great Outdoors magazine's Outdoor Awards 2021!
"Thanks to all who voted for us... hope to see you in 2022."
The hostel was described as 'friendly' and 'awesome', whilst staff were described as 'most helpful'.
They were also commended on their 'great location' and 'great food'.
