THE Farmer Network is a long- established, not-for-profit organisation that aims to support farmers, their families and their businesses, whatever the challenge or opportunity.

The agriculture industry is facing a period of unprecedented change and now the Farmer Network is looking to increase its level of support to farmers in Cumbria, the Yorkshire Dales and beyond.

Managing Director Adam Day says, “We recognise that farmers are best- placed to deliver both future food security and improvements to the natural environment in tandem. This will require new knowledge and investment within the industry and we are preparing for this now”.

The Farmer Network is seeking to employ a new project manager to be based in North Cumbria, working directly with the farming community. The ideal person will have both farming and environmental skills.

Veronica Waller, Senior Project Manager says: “we would really like to hear from any potential project manager who can advise farmers and help us to deliver an ever-increasing number of farmer- support projects in Cumbria and other counties in future”.
